Summer Camp supplements are a la carte academic options that fit your schedule. We CAN provide the learning tools and skills for students to be successful as they transition back to academics in the fall.
We also help students complete their summer work assigned from school - reach out to learn more and make a custom plan for summer work

Math Refresh & Recharge
Schedule: 60 minutes per day, Monday-Friday.
During Math Club participants will play games and apply math concepts through fun math activities. We will focus on grade level appropriate math content. Participants will typically work through a rotation of stations each week. Small group rotations will help a variety of learners practice necessary skills. There will be no required work outside of session.

2nd/3rd grade topics: Number Sense, Patterns & Relationships, Geometry, Time, Money, Measurement, Fractions, Math Facts
4th/5th grade topics: Place Value & Numeration, Geometry & Spatial Sense, Measurement, Fractions & Ratios, Decimals, Data & Graphing, Multiplication, Division

Writing for Real
Schedule: 60 minutes per day for two consecutive weeks (10 sessions total)
Participants will pre-write, choose a topic and style of writing of their choice (opinion, narrative, informational), draft, write, peer-edit, re-write, illustrate, and by the last day of the session “publish” their work. This is a great opportunity to work on writing skills on a topic of participants choosing. This is intended to be FUN writing. I will encourage participants to write about something in which they are really interested, whether it be a chapter of a book, a children’s picture book, a persuasive piece, a magazine article, etc. instruction will help guide students so everyone gets a chance to try out what real authors do, in a fun way! Students will have the opportunity to “publish” their story using a book making application.

Super Charge Executive Functions

Schedule: 60 minutes per day for two consecutive weeks (10 sessions total)
This program will equip your student with the executive functioning skills they need to tackle learning with confidence. Your student with be have a better understanding of the way they learn and apply concrete organizational skills. Each day the group will focus on a different component of executive functioning. Students will leave with a toolbox to refer back to in their home/school life. This program is a great opportunity for students to receive a condensed organizational overview without the commitment of longer-term coaching.

Genre Book Club
Schedule: 60 minutes per day, Monday-Friday.
New genre each week (enroll for one week, enroll for multiple weeks) limited space available. ! Take a look at the available offerings: Realistic Fiction, Mystery/Suspense, Fantasy/Science Fiction, Biography, Historical Fiction, Classic

Fun with Phonics
Schedule: 60 minutes per day, Monday-Friday, recommended enrollment for 2+ consecutive weeks
Spelling and phonics are the focus of these short sessions. Each student will practice fun word work while reinforcing reading and spelling strategies. This program draws from Orton-Gillingham (PAF program), Lindamood-Bell, and Wilson materials.

Storytime Book Club
Schedule: 60 minutes per day, Monday-Friday
This storytime book club is great for families interested in read-aloud stories, games, coloring, and activities. We will embark on the genre study with a different picture book each day along with accompanying activities. This group will not have any assigned work outside of Book Club; however, this is still an educational program. Please do note this is not an instructional reading group. This group fosters the excitement of reading through picture books and related activities.

Can’t Wait for K
Schedule: 60 minutes per day, Monday-Friday (10 sessions total) *only offered in August, consecutive weeks only academic primer before kindergarten.
Sessions include: daily read aloud, uppercase and lowercase letters, letter names and sounds (consonants and short vowels), two-sound decoding (it, at, up), counting, patterns, school routines
*Please note - this is not a “drills” class, more of a precursor to adjust to school
