Educational Therapy & Private Tutoring that embraces your child’s unique learning style

So they learn how to love learning and build a toolkit for thriving in school and beyond!

We believe in meeting every child where they are.

Most schools (even alternative models) are designed for what’s best for children, plural. Not for the individual child.

So if your child isn’t shining their brightest at school, it’s likely because they have strengths or needs that the school system wasn’t built for.

Unfortunately, this can lead to your child falling behind, developing low confidence around learning, or not being challenged and encouraged in the right areas.

At EduMindedNYC, we believe in meeting every child where they are. Our custom educational therapy and tutoring plans help your child rebuild their confidence, meet or exceed school expectations, and learn to love learning!

A holistic approach to teaching

Real learning is not just about aceing a test or “getting better at math.”

It’s about setting your child up to succeed on their own, with the confidence and motivation to pursue learning independently.

Our approach to teaching is holistic, which means we help create a 360-degree environment at home and school where your child will thrive, even when our time with them is over.

A bridge between you and your child’s school

We work closely with your child’s teachers, the school administration, and other care providers to ensure that what they’re learning with us is consistent with their school curriculum.

We also equip you, as the parent, to be able to articulate what your child needs to excel in school. With this clarity, you’ll feel in control of your child’s education again.

“Our biggest concern was our daughter being able to relate to the tutor. This was one of the reasons why we went with Megan. Megan was able to relate to her and understand her. She was able to use that bond to work with her and actually expand that to where they are now.
Another reason we chose Megan was that she was familiar with the school and their approach. The school expects a child to be at a certain point throughout the year; that's how they measure progress. And Megan knows those points in progress for the school. She has laid out that plan to either meet that point or to be ahead of that point.
In the beginning, the goal was more on how to fine-tune our daughter’s reading ability, but now she’s at the point where she's reading to learn more information. It's not about learning to read, it's about reading and learning new things in the world about different people in history, about animals, about different rights, women’s rights, civil rights, and even racial justice!
We’d say that Megan is an extension of us, her parents, in guiding and providing knowledge that our daughter needs to succeed in her educational journey. But we also see her as an extension of the school's faculty because we've had the faculty and Megan connect to make sure that what Megan is covering is working with what the school is covering.”
